Apple’s Vision Pro gets powered by artificial intelligence

Apple is preparing to add artificial intelligence features to the Vision Pro, and there are rumors that these innovations may come in a more affordable version.

Although Apple’s Vision Pro AR headset hasn’t met all expectations, the company is not giving up on this product. According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, Apple has the following future plans for the Vision Pro:

In the near future, Vision Pro users will be able to view personal photos and videos, especially panoramic shots, through the headset. Apple is actively working on integrating an artificial intelligence technology called Intelligence into its AR interface visionOS. This integration is expected to generally improve the user experience.

Apple is also renewing its in-store promotions to make them more comprehensive. The new “Go Deep” option allows potential buyers to test features such as office applications and video monitoring. Soon, Vision Pro users will be able to watch personal videos and photos, especially panoramas, through the headset. This feature will be further developed with the upcoming visionOS 2 update and the “spatial” option, which can turn 2D photos into 3D experiences.

There are rumors that Apple is working on a more affordable version of the Vision Pro, targeted for release by the end of next year. While details are still unclear, some reports suggest the possibility of lower resolution screens or focusing entirely on this budget-friendly option.

The biggest challenge seems to be offsetting the cost while maintaining the high-resolution screens offered in the current Vision Pro. It’s too early to say that the Vision Pro is a dead end, but it is possible that Apple will introduce a more affordable version soon. We should know more about it in the near future.
